There's some buzz around town about plans to merge my town Zablo Hills
with the next one over, Zablo Valley. If true it would be the most
exciting political news around here since they shifted the garbage
and recycling pickup day from Tuesday to Monday. Lots of people
still upset about that.

They had the referendum on combining the towns....
It was turned down by a solid majority, as I suspected.
Apparently most people felt that with a combined population
of well over 200, the new amalgamated town would have too
much of a "big-city" feel to it.
