SG is back online!!! Is it me or is SG just dropping offline more and more often these days? Ah who cares, it's back now and just in time for me to celebrate my first year on SG, exactly a year ago i joined the site after seeing it nominated for a webby. So here is to many more years of SG fun!
First of all, thanks to everyone who spilled out some advice on the previous post - it all has been seriously taken in and it's pretty much a state total of consensus what i should do... thank you! *hug*
Yesterday i went to London and back (in one day from Carlisle) so i could go to the photo-london exhibition/gathering/thingy at the Royal Academy of Arts - it was good but there was some utter shite pieces of work there too plus i met Christiane Kubrick widow of Stanley Kubrick as she was there signing copies of The Stanley Kubrick Archives that TASCHEN are publishing... talking of TASCHEN they're celebrating their 25th Anniversary at the moment so if you want some good and very cheap arty books visit your local good book store as they have released a whole selection of really good books to celebrate the occasion for next to nothing.
Anyway, i didn't mind doing so many miles in one day on the train (about a 1000 i worked out) as managed to get on in first class there and back by buying two first class singles either-way which strangely worked out 10 cheaper than buying a saver return in economy... yeah, go figure... - but anyway, you are sooooo looked after in 1st class... coffee on tap, gorgeous food and a free bar! Woho!
Also, to change the subject but i don't know if this is deliberate or a mistake but you can buy the "With the Lights Out" digital boxset by Nirvana on iTunes for only 7.90 (clicky)- that's just short of four and a half hours of Nirvana bliss over 61 tracks plus a three part documentary on the band!!!! But a warning, i bought it, listened to the entire lot on the train yesterday and i felt kinda dirty after, you pick up so much about the band and more specifically about Kurt that i felt like i had invaded someone's life and i had no valid reason to have done so... i don't know, it's an amazing collection none the less.
Btw, does anyone use AIM?
