The weather here in New York has been shit to say the least over the past few days, it seems as if its been raining non-stop for days now. This morning the city had its Macy's Thanks giving Parade, i personally couldn't be bothered with it as the streets would have been packed to the walls. It has been noticeably busier now thanks giving is here and everyone is coming to the city to spend time with their families. It's also "Black Monday" tomorrow, it's apparently when the shops around the United States become profitable as everyone starts their xmas shopping oh and i'm meeting my ex-boss too...
Fifth Avenue looking a little empty this morning....
I visited the new MoMA centre yesterday too... it opened on the 20th and there was a que to get in around the block - it was absolute madness. It was okay inside, a lot of art that really doesn't interest me but they had a few Andreas Gursky prints up on two of their walls - The Rhine II and one of a concert which i am kicking myself right now because i can't remember its title but anyway, they where both amazing.
I'll never get used to cars turning right though red lights...
New York over the past few days have been a chance to reflect on my own over what i have and have not, i do have a lot to be thankful for really... i don't mean that i terms of material wealth but in family and i have Simone back around me which means so much to me its hard to express using words on a journal. I'm left contemplating my future, what do i do with myself? Everyone has ideals but is it sometimes worth cutting back to ensure you're safe or is it better to surge forward and to risk everything? I don't really know...
