On the damn awesomeness scale this hits a massive eleven out of ten...
I don't know if i am behind the times on this story or not (i probably am) but i was watching the 1UP Show in iTunes the other day and one of the segments featured a guy known as 'Gameboy' Jason Degroot or even '6955' who has managed to put together eight old Nintendo Famicoms and produce a drum machine and bloody hell some of the stuff he was doing was just amazing. You can check out his website and he provides some mp3's for anyone to listen to (read the first page carefully as they're not clearly marked). You need to check out the 1UP Show to watch how he does it however because each episode is usually well over 125MB and that maybe a little bit much effort to subscribe and whatever not just to check this out i have cut up the episode in Quicktime Pro so it only features the segment i am talking about and you can watch that if you like by clicking on the link below.

The gba link with zelda is fun. Nintendo innovation isn`t always spot on but I like the effort involved. its a neat little extra to the game.
You should see 4 player Final Fantasy crystal chronicles. Worked great but was a little fidely, but fun.
its downloaded now, fucking amazing!
