Only one more week to endure before this corporate holiday season will be over for another eight months, my plan in post-xmas last year to commit to a buy-nothing-for-xmas is working really well because i've bought nothing and i will be buying nothing - i refuse to take part in this annual consumer binge that the western world defines now as being 'christmas' - yeah, whatever... it's not that i hate christmas, i just hate what it has been allowed to become. When you really think about christmas it is quite a deceitful season, we lie to our children about a fat bloke coming down the chimney and indeed the whole season was founded on a fictional story.
