Continuation of the journal entry below. The blog layout really isn't very conducive to reading things in order. Iif entries were designed to be continuations of each other, you have to skip around quite a bit to read everything in the order it was written. Anyway, after Disney On Ice, I came back to the city, had a Texas Burger at Paul's (2nd ave between 7th and 8th, a few doors before the Belgian Crack Fries place). It itself was excellent, but it pressed down on top of whatever I ate the day before that which wasn't so excellent. I headed over to a party in Williamsburg (some kids decided to drink absinthe - how could I miss out on witnessing the consumption of such contraband?), but as soon as I got there I had to run to the bathroom and my colon made a giant explosive mess. And then they started to yell at me to get out ASAP b/c someone had to piss (or puke, I don't even know) so I didn't get a chance to really light enough matches (I only lit two - didn't go jack shit, so to speak) or air out the place... so, I am really sorry, whoever it was that had to be there after me.
Got home at 3:30, passed out. Woke up at 9, went wine-tasting out on the North Fork of LI with some of the tamer kids from the absinthe night. That was fun, but I am tired to write about it indetail, we went to 8 vineyards, and a corn maze.
Turns out that far out Suffolk County still has a lot of vineyards and it's really a pleasant area to be in. There are malls and everything, but there's also lots of wide open fields and still a lot of farming going on there, unlike the south shore of Nassau County which is really really suburbia - houses and strip malls all on top of each other. I decided I can only live either in actual NYC or really far out on LI. The whole Lynbrook/Oceanside/Baldwin area - vomit.
Anyway, I am back. And as soon as I got back my roommates decided to watch "Finding Neverland" - movie about the guy that created Peter Pan and how he wrote that story. Good movie, and it got a pretty good rating on imdb.com, so thousands of sophisticated movie fans can't be all wrong.
Now I am cleaning our nasty bathroom which hasn't been cleaned for like 3 weeks. It is totally cancelling out all the fun shit I did over the weekend. Vomit.
