...did you remember to turn your clocks back one hour & enjoy some extra sleep or party time? (Or did you not have to do so? Do you change your clocks at a different time, or do you not change them at all?)
This is going to be a really random and scattered update. I keep meaning to start updating more often, like I used to and want to again, but then life gets in the way! So maybe having to sit at my computer for an hour or however long this one takes me will be a good motivator for shorter and more frequent.
Fall is in full force! Just before Halloween, the leaves were mostly still on the trees, vibrantly coloured.

But now the streets look more like this, as if they've been carpeted for ages and no one has claimed their buried belongings.

And of course, remnants of the festivities of October 31st.

These days it's rainy as much as it is sunny, and the weather changes so rapidly. I love this time of year for the skies! Sunsets are breathtaking and the days are dramatic.

I'm usually working during sunset, carrying plates and chatting up diners, so I grabbed this user-submitted shot from the weather network page I have set as my homepage because I've done so for years and enjoy certain habits.

About a month ago, construction was finally finished on the new lofts at the old Hudson's Bay building downtown. I wish I had a hope in hell of affording a place there, but I don't. And you know what? I'd rather a place on the water! (Not that I have a hope in hell of affording that, either, but if I'm gonna dream I'll dream big.) Still, I walk past it every day, and every day I laugh at the metal crest outside the main entrance. I know it's supposed to be a silhouette of the company logo, and I know what it's supposed to look like, but every time I see it my first thought is "GHOST!"

...see, it looks like a ghost with a face between two deer or caribou or whatever!
...I know, it should look like a wolf on top of a crest, but it doesn't. So there, HBC.
And though there's not much there and I'm still figuring out how to use it, I now have an SG page on facebook! Really, there will be more content coming, but give me time to get the hang of it. I had to ask for help on how to "like" other SGs' pages!
But I think this could be fun once I master it. Does anyone know if I can play Lexulous with you guys through my page? (Oh dear, if, so, I'll have to set a limit on how many games I'll play at once or else I'll never finish anything!)
Here is the link. Tips & tricks on how to use this page-feature are most welcome!
Now clap for me, because I'm taking an intense and awesome class in medical terminology, anatomy, and pathology, and after four classes and three quizzes I've gotten two perfect scores and one 95 that would have been perfect if I hadn't left out the multiple in "multiple myeloma." But that's OK, because we get to drop our lowest scores, so I really still have a 100% average.
I'm about 1/5 of the way through the entire course and I already feel so effin' smart when I watch House or Bones or any other show with frequent references to the human body.
OK I think that's it for now. And that didn't even take me an hour!
But I still promise to update more often. Really. I swear on my blurry nipple:
