A Monday off, what a luxury! It's a big win for the random celebrate-British-monarchs holidays we have in Canada. Actually one of the two places I work is open today, but I worked yesterday, not today.
All this really means is that I have time for schoolwork today. And possibly for taking my new "roommates" to the park! Can you guess what they are? They're cute, they're squeaky, they love carrots and hay, and they kind of resemble furry potatoes. That's right, guinea pigs! I love guinea pigs so much. They're so innocent and adorable and hilarious. I adopted them from a family that had to unexpectedly move to England; they seemed like lovely people and truly loved the little cavies. Of course they had a house and a backyard to work with, but there is grass outside my building and a park down the street! As long as I have a friend to help me the first time -- these guys like to run!
I've got to take a few photos soon. I've tried, but they don't stay still! They're terrible models. But I guess when you have the choice between sitting still or running around and playing, there's only one obvious choice. Maybe I'll make a few videos. Pet videos... I love 'em.
Meanwhile I'm working at two jobs and doing online courses in event management. I certainly have experience in the field, specifically in corporate conferences and art-performance events, but it's been a while and there are certain areas I've never really dealt with and I'd like more of a background of knowledge to draw upon. Plus it's been a while since the last event I've worked on!
I haven't been taking photos of life for a bit because I lost a great deal of beautiful shots recently from when my family was here visiting me and we went to the Butchart Gardens. I got really upset and was too mad at my iPhone to take much beyond that. But this is silly, I should just take more! Expect a photo-filled entry soon. I'm making myself accountable.
