I'm super excited for May to arrive! Tick, tock, tick, tock...
You might already be aware that I'm not into most calendar holidays but am very fond of creating my own "holidays" or celebrations. And while this might not seem like a holiday to you, it will be for me... I'll be going RAW! I'm aiming for about 95% raw; I just don't think I should cut off possibilities of tea right away. What if the evenings get cold again and I have no one to snuggle with? I'll need that tea!
I have two questions for you:
If you eat a raw diet, or partial raw diet, or just know one really good "uncooking" recipe, let me know! Tell me how to make something yummy. There are limits, though: I don't have (and can't afford) a juicer, dehydrator, or any really expensive ingredients.
Now, this one is for everyone... Do you have any May traditions? Celebrations? Spring cleaning rituals? I'm not necessarily talking Wicker Man human sacrifices here -- though rest assured I AM talking about the Christopher Lee film, NOT the Nicholas Cage abomination of a remake -- but any sorts of fun springy things you like to do?
I'm starting the process of going through everything I own and have collected over these five and half years in Montreal. I've given myself two months to do this, but I'll get it will either take me no time at all or I will never really finish.
Random picture lovin' -- I think this photo from this recent set is one of my new favourites, ever. So much character!!

I'm having a very lazy and boring Monday evening, so some sets in MR from the past 30 days that I love...
Coming soon: What happens when Yulia gets a bit overzealous and runs amok after finishing school!
Also: Since I plan on a lot of adventures this summer and I love sharing them, I am opening up my friends list! Unless I think you're an asshole, you are welcome to join the party.

Try solar dehydrating, on a day when you have time. I wanted to today, but the sky says "actually I'm gonna rain. good luck dehydrating!" so I'm using the oven at a really low temp, turning it off, then turning it back on once it gets cold. Not ideal, but it'll work....eventually. Oh i'm using it for crackers.....If it works nicely I'll send it your way. The recipe, not the crackers. I'd love to send you crackers, but I'm not sure that would work.
