so, fuck all the haters, the new propagandhi record is the shit. they'll never write a record that touches the first two in my opinion, but that's probably because those two records are easily in the top ten most influential pieces of art on my life.
it's hard to believe that it's been 9 1/2 years since I saw them play. I remember them opening the set with "anti-manifesto," the singer (chris?) claiming that it was about how he both loved and hated punk rock at the same time. more and more I totally understand that sentiment. as I've gotten older, I both find myself totally frustrated with punk rock, and also tending to self-identify as a "punk" more so than when I was a teenager.
