let's recap last week in music:
wednesday: pedro the lion/low/kid dakota @ the great american music hall
thursday: the velvet teen @ the boardwalk
friday: bane/comeback kid/life long tragedy/with honor/silent drive @ the pound
i'm starting to get involved with this organization called music for america...ehem... musicforamerica.org ....it's a non-profit that promotes political awareness to youth through music. my kind of people. so basically you sign up to volunteer and then they get you into shows for free. good deal in my book. i'm volunteering may 1st for the living legends show in santa cruz. it'll be one of my last shows in cali. it'll be interesting to say the least. i've never been to a hip hop show before and i've never even heard of any the groups playing. new music! i'm down!
skunk and i are both moving at the same time? oh my goodness. ya know bud, they say moving in bad weather is good luck. i don't understand that reasoning AT ALL but whatever. either way we win i suppose. but oh man...i didn't even think about the difference in gas prices from when i moved. when i came out here gas was around a buck fifty or so. a year and a half later i'll be driving back at two fifty a gallon. yikes. and i'm towing a trailer with a 500 pound motorcycle on the back!! no good but what can i do.
last night a very loud storm came through. for about a minute the intensity of the rain consistently increased until i swear the roof about caved in. and that was that. it stopped. but for a minute i felt like i was back in the midwest. soon enough.

Don't talk to me about fuel prices mate. Gas is more than triple in the UK, compared to what I'm paying now, plus I gotta pay road tax.
