It's amazing how things can dramatically change over time. A month ago I was frustrated and unhappy with my situation. I felt like i was just stuck in the middle. I couldn't move forward but i wasn't going backwards either. Now, I find myself in a more productive time. I landed a job that is closer to home and pays an actual living wage and I would basically be doing what i love doing which is to help people who are disenfranchised socially and economically. So many positive things are happening and it's almost the end of the year which seems pretty strange cause people look to the new year for change.
I'm a pretty patient mellow type of person and for the past week i realized that being aggressive which isn't in my nature get's things done. i've realized that making things happen and being proactive can actually lead to things as opposed to letting things happen. just my thoughts.
Anyone know of a great gift idea for a parent? My mom's always a difficult person to shop for.

i totally agree. jewerly, perfume, a collage of pictures of you when you were little (framed), a warm and cozy scarf, a mix cd of music you'd think she'd love. i dunno. i don't know your mum.

lizzi:
I'm glad things are looking up for you! I wish I could help you with the mom sitch, but I'm finding I have the same problem every year! What do you buy someone that has everything? Happy Holidays!
