Today as I did my bike ride to Key Biscayne and back it struck me -- I take back the bad things I said about pod people who just hit "random" on their MP3/iPods.
Because that's what I do these days. My well-crafted mix tapes from the 80s/90s gather dust in a closet, my carefully chosen mix CDs slowly erode in the big storage case right next to my antiquated stereo. I am all about the randumbness these days.
So, here is the new weekly Yo_La_Jimbo journal feature: Randumb Mix of the Week. The rule is simple: I'll just call up 80 minutes on the Smart Playlist feature, but the criteria will change as I play with the settings, genres, decades etc. But, I WILL NOT delete any embarassing songs, of which I have many.
This week it's pretty broad and obvious -- a Smart Randumb Mix culled from my Top-Rated songs (either 4 or 5 stars -- right now there are 2,240 songs in that one Smart List). As always, if you want a copy, just contact me and ye shall receive while supplies last (5).
