I would suggest that you get one model where you can put enough music to last you, lets say a week or two week of musical pleasure (not of continuous play, I meant enough to last you while of listening, lets say 5 or 6 hours a day), because you can then update your Ipod content, you can add stuff and take stuff out, etc. The thing is that you will always be getting new music, so that eventually even the 30 gb model will be filled, in probably less than a year, if you get as much new music as I do, so I would suggest that you consider how much music do you want to have on you on a single week or two weeks instead of getting an Ipod to store ALL your music. I have a 20 gb ipod, and it suits me great!! I have too music, enough so that I would probably need more than one of the biggest Ipod's, instead I own an external hard disk where I store a lot gb of mp3's so that I can do my updates constantly.
Hopefully all that serves you to make a good decision.
Well, you can add stuff from your fav artists first, or just about artists you want to hear soon, also you can add stuff by album or by genre, etc. It is not hard work, actually, I find it to be fun, the only thing that takes some time is turning all your albums into the mp3 format, but you can do that when you do other stuff with your computer, also, I would suggest that you get an external hard disk were you can store all your music on the mp3 format, that way you can add and take stuff out of your pc without filling your computer's own hard disk. Also, another great thing about the ipod is that you can make an almost infinite lists of mixes that you can play on an exact order or with the shuffle feature, and the lists can be of as many songs as you like, currently I am hooked with a 122 songs mix I made two weeks ago So yeah, run and get your Ipod ASAP!
Hopefully all that serves you to make a good decision.
