I need a change!

I'd like to meet some new people. My social circle is very tightknit, but is also very insular so meeting people is herculean effort. Next hurdle is my own trecherous psychology. When I'm in an unfamiliar environment, I get all uncomfortable and turn formal and vaguely aloof. Been working on that. no more stick-up-the-ass-setting.

My job no longer fills me with interest or challenge. I've accomplished all that I can there, nothing appreciable is new. I've looked into starting a small business, but I don't have the equity necessary to get the loans I'd need without selling my ass, soul and ass again to secure them.

So, I'm open to any and all suggestions for a new line of work that isn't retail, food service or office drone oriented. Input will be greatly appreciated.
