Hello Boys and Girls, how have you been?
Responses and your input on this blog entry are more than welcome. I will appreciate them very much.
For a while now, I was thinking, what to do with my life, as I am stuck for years in stereotype, which I don't enjoy and I am in a place, where I have next to no inspiration left as to what to do, nor a clear-cut direction in life I want to take. I am single, I don't own anything, I can't afford anything either and I am definitely NOT building the career I would have imagined maybe ten years ago
and am even further from my childhood dreams
My idea of getting out there and changing SOMETHING is to change environment completely and relocate. Basically, shock myself into implementing change.
Thing is, I am efficient, great mediator, likeable in work, resourceful, you name it! I speak several languages. However, I have no university degree and extensive customer services experience, but naught else. Therefore, I am having a hard time, leveling up professionally.
Where I would like to go is most likely North East USA, as that's one country I would LOVE to visit and check out. East coast has the smallest time difference from here, so I would be able to talk to my family on Skype with no problem. North has more agreeable weather with me. And don't forget, I am a RAVENS fan
Now, I am 25 now and will be 26 in January, so not sure if I still qualify, but I was thinking of AU PAIR. Is that still possible for someone my age? It is probably the easiest, most risk-free way to get abroad when you have no money, mainly if you require a work permit of sorts. I could then get a diploma in one of the Uni's too and improve my general career outlook in the future. Also, I am really good with kids, can help them with homework or anything else, motivate them to learn foreign languages or go be a surrogate soccer-mom when necessary. I have a driving license too.
What do you think? Should I start looking for this? Get a year in the USA (or Ireland, Scotland, UK, Australia or New Zealand...) as AU PAIR? Or, if you have magic ideas that could work for me, please please please, out with them. I will be so grateful
