Quick and Imperfect
I'm still working on my art, in and out of therapy. I spend about 75% of my time there talking about real life issues, and 25% of the time talking about my artistic ambitions, which got shoved to the wayside in the whole SSA-mess. I've been struggling for a while with the fact that I'm often too upset to do much more than make 'stress drawings' these days, and the 12 pages for the dream comic before this one were just a little too ambitious, given my current state.
My therapist asked me to 'just make something' in one week, and I went back to the way I finished my one and only NaNoWriMo novel (Dragon Bass)...I came up with a silly concept unconnected to anything else I truly cared about, and slapped it together thirty minutes under deadline. Below is what I made. It's not very good (at least to my standards), but it's helping me practice getting things done, and not relying so much on everything being 100% perfect.
Robo-Bugs are Cute.

Robo-bugs are cute. I like it. The eighth principle of the Cult of Done Manifesto is, "Laugh at perfection. Its boring and keeps you from being done."
