OK, I've been MIA for a while now. I have been on the site briefly from time to time but just to look around and check messages and such. Because my shop recently moved to a new location, we have been busy. For the past 3 years or so I have been alone at my shop/office with the occasional helper or boss. Now, my company is joined under one roof with our parent and sister company. So now 3 companies with over 15 employees. The offices are nice and the work spaces are big. But, because I'm the only person under 50 in the offices it means I'm also the designated IT guy. I was also the guy dealing with the phone company and the installs. Now back when I was in the Navy, I supervised people(usually guys younger then me) on working parties like painting and supply up loads. But, this is different. Supervising contractors on wiring the phone system or Network when I know nothing about either and I'm younger then them is just weird.

Between school, college, US Navy and here at work I've always been the young one learning from the older and in a subservient kinda position. So this was from left field. I think I did OK and we'll see how things work out. The building is complete and we are all moved in. The net seams to be working OK and the phones too. You see, one site network with high speed internet but three separate phone systems branching out to multiple offices like three trees growing near each other with the branches overlapping each other and the tips being the end office. My office has one set of phone lines while my boss's office have set one/set two and their boss's has set two/set three. Set two and three has a receptionist while set one has a voice machine multiple set up.

Anyway enough of that shit. I'm back somewhat. I just will not be on as long every day. I hope all of you are having a great end of the year.
