I am still in Massachusetts, running my own company.
The latest project I had was helping open a new speakeasy type bar, hidden in a basement with historic stone walls. Hiring, training, decorating, all done and just watching the 5 star reviews pour in from my couch now - on to the next project!
I'm also.... running for local government! I'm already on a board, but I was appointed; so this will be my first time on the ballot, and for the highest position in my municipality! Endorsed by David Cross, Congressman Maxwell Frost, Representative Rita Harris, and I'm waiting on another fun one 😀 but he's a secret for now!
It's wild that my decision to become a SG in 2008 had such a positive impact on my growth as a strong and confident woman. I owe that to the hundreds of SGs I have met over the years. It's a powerful sorority if you use it properly.
