Good morning and for those of us for whom it applies, Happy Labor Day.
Missed Foto Friday, sorry, just too busy to play much, but I wanted to drop in and say hello and post another couple of images. Work is starting to even out a little bit and I felt the need to play a bit so I hung out and looked around. Some very nice photos posted here of some very pretty ladies.
I hope today finds you all happy and in good health. I was expected to work today but my office is in a building that is now managed by another department at school and THEY have taken the day off and are keeping the building closed so lucky me, I get a day off that the rest of my department doesn't.
Of course, I have to use a vacation day for it, but that's ok too.
Here's a shot I did on a vacation to upstate New York a couple of years ago. Unbelievable how clear the water is in these mountain lakes.
And another shot from my Texas days. This young woman was my photo assistant . . . . was I a lucky guy or what?
And for my Photoshop entry this week, one of my favorites. The original, as posted, was pretty blah. Flat exposure and contrast and not too intersting . . .
But here is the finished product.
The tough part in this one was not only finding the the birds pictured in the correct poses, but also in the correct colors to fit their jobs. In retrospect, I wish the couple of bird representing the burned out couple in the lower right corner were less colorful, but their pose, cuddling or perhaps, comforting each other, sold me. Somewhere around 23 layers in this project.
In any event, enjoy the day, have a great time all.
Cheers,
