Doing much better this week.

Work's been a bitch. The company I work for has every single contract for the schools on the Island and them some, about 200 in all. As it's back to school time it means muchos work for us. Approx 14 hrs a day eeek .
Add to the work load a major computer system upgrade and.....well you get the picture. (Me...

Hey man, I scooted across to the mainland mostly for better job prospects. Glad to hear that things are going a little bit better, that last post was pretty fuckin' heavy.

Been awhile since I've updated this....

Life's been kind of sucky for me lately. Not so much anything that's happened but rather my attitude. I spent my weekends in July helping my friends Lauree and Angelo move into the house they bought up island and now that they are so far away ( at least with my limited transportation) I'm feeling lonely. So what do...

Fancy new look to the site...like it.

Got back from England last Monday but have been either too busy with work or plain old tired to update.
10 days was far too short for me, most of the time was spent with family with but one day for me to do some exploring. Spent that day hiking for about 4 hours in Dartmoor National Park...

Leave for England for 9 days tomorrow biggrin It'll be the first real vacation I've had in eight years so I'm looking forward to it. Mostly for a family reunion, my Grandmother is going to be 90, but I'm going to try and get some hiking in while I'm there.

Good time to be going because I've got a feeling shits going to hit the fan...

Wow, some crazy things going on at work -- I hope they get sorted out soon.

I'm still too afraid to open the envelope. When I do, I'll let y'all know the contents...

Wow, that's so great! If memory serves, you've been wanting to do this trip for years. Well, have a wonderful and safe journey!
I hope things go better than you are predicting at your job, it would be nice to have that still there when you come home but I also hear where you are coming from, some things are more important.

I am a dirty, dirty corporate whore. Not only do we all wear t-shirts with the company logo and " Warehouse Team" written on them, but we have to be tested on various components of company procedure. Of which I have, as of yesterday, passed all of them. Oh the shame.
I refuse to buy into the monthly performance bonus plan or memorising the company...

I have been thinking about getting a bike for a long time, maybe I'll actually act on it this spring/summer. hehe

I hope you find the time to work on your music this weekend, whore! It's been a lot nicer than "they" said it would be, though, so you can't be blamed for spending it outside. smile

Wanted to update sooner but this crappy computer was down for the count in terms of connecting to the internet. What the fuck is my Dad doing on it??

Had a good time on Saturday night with SGVic members. I'm sure our pool playing skills left all the other people in Peacocks gaping in awe. To bad no newbies came out, as it was mostly...

Drank a wee bit too much last night and spent most of the morning regreting it. It was all in good fun as I spent yesterday afternoon and evening recording some guitar parts for my friend Angelo (don't use AKG C1000'S to mic up 2 4x12 cabinets, doesn't work) and going over some ideas regarding the recording studio we'll be building on the property he...

Did the hippy thing and went for a walk along the beach last night before it got dark. Was surprised to see so many new houses and rezoning signs announcing new devlopments. Made me kind of bummed out. The whole attraction for me about going down to the beach is it's solitude and humans are the noisiest animals on the planet.
Oh well, that progress...

Went and saw the opera "Rigaletto" last night. One of the benifits of taking piano lessons where I do is the opportunity to purchase tickets for the dress rehersals. Although there were still a few things to work out in the production, mostly stage and set details, $8 is real deal when compared to $30 for a ticket during the actual run of the show....

Pretty good, if mellow, weekend so far. Watched a couple movies on Fri and Sat night. One was a Japanesse "horror" flick that was called Marebito. More unsettling than scary, I got a strong impression of Clive Barker/H.P Lovecraft, but it was made by the same fella that did "The Grudge" so definitely not the feel good movie of the year.
The other movie was...
