Pretty good, if mellow, weekend so far. Watched a couple movies on Fri and Sat night. One was a Japanesse "horror" flick that was called Marebito. More unsettling than scary, I got a strong impression of Clive Barker/H.P Lovecraft, but it was made by the same fella that did "The Grudge" so definitely not the feel good movie of the year.
The other movie was "The Corpse Bride" I've wanted to see it since it's been out on DVD but I needed to wait untill I moved out. Andy would have sat there complaining how stupid and childish it was (this is a guy who thinks "The Trailer Park Boys is high comedy...WTF?) and I really wanted to actually watch the movie. Damn, was Emily hot.
Yep, I'm pretty pissed at Andy....and Joanna for that matter. I phoned her Friday night to make arrangments to get my damage deposit back and it turns out he didn't leave untill the 11th when her son had to go into the suite and physically throw him out. Not only that but he had totally trashed the place. By the time time Joanna had hired people to clear his shit out and had tallied up the damage he had done to his room my share of the damage deposit was gone. What pisses me off is that she waited so long to get him out. I'd have phoned the police on the 2nd and had him evicted. I'm a strong supporter of low income housing and hate to think of people living on the street but the reality is...if it's your property it's your responsibilty. Anyways, I'm glad that that sad chapter in my life has finally come to an end. Repeat mantra...No More Roomates!!!
