I guess i'll take down my frowns b/c i started my seeds under a grow light today. if all goes well, i'll have tomatoes, watermelon, spinich and a bunch of other yummy plants to eat this summer. i just feel so drained. i spoke w/ neil last night. i thought it was the last phone call, but it turned out he called me today and i missed it by half an hour b/c i went to franks nursery. he's headed to land and even though i hate to admit it, i'm scared shitless. not to mention that 5 people have been captured and who knows what will happen. i can only hope...
I gave Gary, a kid who lives down the street $10 for helping me get rocks by the bridge earlier for the rock wall i'm gonna try to build for my raised garden. he had gas and it had to be the worst ever! he stunk up my car so bad, i should probably attack it w/ lysol, he seemed to think it was funny when even after a couple minutes the reek was hanging around, and we were OUTSIDE! The kid next door is so cute. He was telling me how he earned like $1,500 one summer from selling veggies his family grew. his mom told me earlier this week that they used to grow corn in their front yard. i love Kentucky!
i don't have words...the war is being broadcast as it happens. i remember watching bombings during dessert storm but it's different now. maybe it just more personal, but i think i would be just as affected if it my man was here at home watching it on tv w/ me.
I need some stoopid humor, i think i'll watch clueless.

Thanks for stopping by to say hello...it was the highlight of my day. Good luck with the veggies...there's nothing like fresh, homegrown. When I lived in Washington years back, it was all about mushrooms...we used to hike up these chronically moist mountains to pick "shepherd's manes". But please don't smoke. Later, Chick.
