WELCOME TO CINCINNATI SG
"i'll repost the funny stuff later but for now...
a friendly announcement from your pissed off little friend.
this is just another fine example of the puritanical midwestern values
stampeding so many wonderful things."
From a Southgate house employee...
CCV- Citizens for Community Values is trying to get this show banned due it's nature of "adult entertainment" and SGH's lack of said license. The women will not be allowed to "touch" themselves or wear certain "revealing" types of clothes. They have pressured the city of Newport into supporting this and there will be lots of officials/police there that could shut this show down and THE SGH! THIS IS NOT A JOKE! I work there.
You should call them and tell them what you think. After all, they support Article XII.

Good day everyone.
I'm contacting you with concern towards a situation brewing
between the Citizens for Community Values
and the
The Southgate House bar
and music venue regarding the Suicide Girls Burlesque show.
The following comes from a Southgate house employee. You
can see the original board posting here.

If you are as concerned over this as I am, please take some
time between now and Monday to call the Citizens for Community Values
and have your opinion be heard.
PLEASE be professional! Being slanderous or rude will only re-enforce
their opinion of the individuals supporting the show. The following is
a guide for some suggested dialog:
"I am calling in regards to your organization's attempt to
ban the Suicide Girls Burlesque show playing at Southgate House in
Newport, Kentucky on Feb 16th.
The show is 18 and up only, and performed behind closed doors.
Therefore, it is only being attended by consenting adults, who do not
find the material offensive.
Your organization's attempt the ban the performance is an
infringement on my civil rights and the civil rights of the population
surrounding the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. It is
actions such as these that hold our community back both socially and
economically."
Thank you for your support, and I'll see you at the show!
