i just got back from a trip to the east coast, and oddly enough the weather was better there than it is here in CO. it's in the low 90s but it feels like i'm walking a line over a pot of boiling pasta. it's even got that gluten feeling.
4 years ago me and the family had a similar trip to watch my brother enter into the naval academy in maryland. this trip, however, was centered around his graduation from the academy. that alone would be reason for the trip, but we found others: baltimore, d.c., philly, and nyc.
we walked, ate, walked, ate, drank, walked, ate, drank, drank, slept. repeat: 8 days.
plus, pictures!
the best part of the trip (besides reuniting with a bunch of family members) was the neighborhoods. the sleepy, green, lush ones in maryland; the cramped, rundown, and cozy ones in south philly; fucking brooklyn and the bronx and k-town and coney island and singing karaoke in times sq!
incredible!
such amazing diversity, such a different lifestyle from the ones here...
love it.
can't wait to go back.
