i had a knife fish so awesome he was known merely as "the knife."
no, not really. he had another name, but i forget what it was. anyways, this post is in remembrance of his life (as observed in my aquarium).
a couple days ago i arrived from a long day at work to find an altered air in my room. something didn't feel right and i looked in the tank to find the pleco sucking wall (as he usually does) and the other fish that hasn't grown in 2 years just staring at the magnet glass cleaner (like he usually does), but the member missing was my 8 inch long knife fish. well, he was in his log like normal only his tail was nibbled on some. i hoped against hoped that he was just in a fight with the pleco, but a look in the log confirmed my worse fears.
for whatever reason, he passed on into fish heaven. what broke my heart was that he died in his favourite part of the tank.
days after, i think the pleco is depressed. he just lays around, sucking more than usual.
but that knife fish--he was a good fish.
he will be missed.
ray.
