Hey people's! I hope everything is going fantastic in your neck of the woods. It's definitely starting to feel like fall here in Oregon. I just can't wait until all the leaves start changing and I'd like to go for a few more day hikes before it gets to cold and wet for that. I have lived in Oregon for over two years now and still don't own any rain gear. Yeah crazy I know!! I really should just go buy some boots so my feet don't get wet during the massive downpours we get here, especially in winter. I do really love the fall weather though. Any excuse to wear hats and scarfs is ok with me.
So on Friday the 29th my wife and I celebrated our anniversary. We have now been married for dun dun dun.....16 years. Wow such a long time. What were you guys doing 16 years ago? I'm guessing various levels if school haha. The day started out pretty raining but as weird as it may sound I was starting to miss the rain so that was alright with me. Everything had a nice fresh smell. Sometimes when it rains here it smells like a decaying forest but luckily not this day. I tend to let my wife sleep in everyday so it wasn't much of a surprise she slept until almost 11. Good thing I had her present all ready and waiting for whenever she got up. I had bought her a Siam bracelet to replace the one she lost hiking along the coast last year. U thought it may have been too big but she said it fits just fine. After that we went and had lunch in this lovely french-like restaurant where we chatted away over good cuisine and a spot of tea for myself. She opted for a nice macchiato. It's so wonderful that after all this time we can still easily have a nice engaging conversation. That's getting harder and harder to find these days if you ask me. After lunch we went back home and well, let's just say she rocked my world but then again she always does. It was a purely magnificent day.
So it's been about 3 weeks since I started testifying my German. I had taken classes way back in high school and it's amazing how fast and easy it's all coming back to me. Now just trying to remember the article of literally every noun seems daunting but slow and steady is what's going to get me there. I have completely immersed myself in the German language. I spend most my day at work listening to German lessons or at the very least German music. I have switched the audio on Netflix to German. Admittedly I am still using English subtitles. I watch lessons on German on YouTube and even some German vloggers. I even have an app on my phone that teaches German. According to it I'm about 40% fluent haha. Well I think that's all for now.
Here's a quick pick I just took out of the shower before I call it a day. I'm too lazy sometimes to shower when I wake up. Lol
Ciao all
