I'm back from Oregon. It was a nice visit, but I think it was just one of those 'not my week' sort of things.
The bad:
My grandmother died on Friday(5/28). My mom called me and talked to me for more than a 1/2 hour crying and blabbering hysterically. It didn't help.
I went to Boatnik on Monday(5/31) and I left my digital camera in the bathroom for a whopping 7 minutes. When I checked back, it was gone. . Despite calling the police lost and found and looking in the city newspaper's lost and found ads, it wasn't there. I don't blame them. It was a great camera with a huge memory card.
I suceeeded in fucking up my dad's truck a little more- The rear-view mirror broke off and he had to spend an hour of his time re-attatching the fucking thing. I also went to a friends's house and his HUGE dog decided to claw the shit out of the door, so there are now scratches on it.
On Wednesday(6/2), I went to Planned Parenthood and they only gave me 3 months of Birth Control instead of the year perscription I expected them to fill. In Oregon, BC is free, but in MD is costs a hell of a lot more, especially now that I have a job. GREAT!
On Saturday(6/5), I got up at the ass-crack of dawn(4:30) to make a flight to San Francisco at 6:00 to visit a friend and. . .the plane was ;'indefinitely delayed'. I had to spend 1 and 1/2 hours in line just to talk to a guy about re-booking my flight. He said that the earliest flight he could even get me was at 6:00 PM. Since that would defeat the purpose of me even going down there, I told him I just wanted a refund on my credit card. Guess what he was too incompetent to give me? Yep. A refund. Piece of shit.
The night before I left(6/7), my dad and I got into a retarded argument and he randomly accused me of being rude to his new girlfriend and asking me why I didn't want her around. The dumb thing is, I didn't even SAY anything about her. I didn't care if she was around or not! Finally, I realized he was pretty drunk and asked him, and then he got all defensive and went to bed.
Once I was on my flight, I had one of the worst dizzy spells ever. I overheated, couldn't really breathe, and I felt extremely nauseous. I expected it because when i was eating with my dad at he airport due to a 1/2 hour delay, I felt a sort of 'warning sign' type thing.
I felt really sick for the rest of the day. I tried to sleep it off , but it didn't work. I had a red-eye flight, so I arrived home around 6:15 yesterday morning. My plane was like 20 minutes early, so there was no Chris to greet me at the airport. Then I went to the baggage carousel and my other suitcase (with all my clothes) wasn't there. We filed a claim and the guy told us it would arrive sometime in the afternoon and that he would have it dropped off.
Apparently it arrived at like 1:00 am.
I felt sick all yesterday, and I'm still not sure how I feel today. It's too early.
I want to write more about the good stuff, but I can't because I'm out of time. Next time, I suppose.
