@rambo @missy This is the worst live performance I’ve ever seen!
So my husband is very supportive of all his friends, which is commendable; except when he wants me to go with him to support said friends.
There have been 2 of these times where I thought I’d be the supportive wife and see his friends. One was a dinner show, murder mystery, I know sounds super fun already (eye roll). We get there and are seated in a room with a small stage and about 10 tables. Of course our table is in the back but surrounded by the wall & other tables (difficult for needing to use the bathroom, or wanting to escape.)
The show starts with a horrible back story and the dialogue is dry and dated. The jokes were horrible, you can’t even chuckle and go “oh at least they tried”. The choreography was really bad and the singing was really pitchy, like really pitchy.
The second one was we actually went to Caroline’s for a comedy show... again a friend was in a competition for new up and coming comedians. I don’t know how she thought she would make it. Like every embarrassing movie in which you watch a person tripping when going on stage and the feedback from the mic & the issues getting the mic off the stand. This was exactly what happened. She was able to tell some good jokes, some of the delivery fell through on the rest.
I’ve learned sometimes for me to be supportive is to not go with my husband when he wants to support his friends.
