Searching for you
It's almost one o' clock in the afternoon, in which I just woke up close to twenty minutes ago from the start of this entry. Yesterday I got up to hang out with Clint. Problem was that my order for the MotoGP documentary, Faster, came in the mail. Couldn't help but be drawn to watching it, I ended up watching a good amount of it before I finally left and was a good 15 minutes late to hang out with Clint in the morning.
Before heading I told Alan, who too is a MotoGP fanatic now, that the Faster DVD came in and will have to come to his place to watch it. Another reason why I was late to see Clint is that my car keys were nowhere to be found. It was until I reached into my vest pocket, which was the location of my lost keys.
I get to Starbucks and I find Clint heavily engrossed in a book. With his attention full on what he was reading, Clint had no idea that I was approaching him. Tap on his shoulders he looks up with a wide smile following a hand shake along with, "What's up Richard?" We get our introductions out of the way followed by going to counter to grab some beverages. Since this is the second week of our ritual, it was Clint's day to purchase drinks.
We sat and talked. The first thing he noticed was the MotoGP documentary and this is the topic we spent most talking about. Telling him what MotoGP is, what types of bikes are used, who and what qualifications most of the riders have, how popular it is overseas and what have. Clint became intrigued as I talked about MotoGP in such detail. He then asked me if I was still buying a motorcycle. I informed him I was but couldn't decide whether to purchase the Suzuki GSX-R750 or GSX-R600. But I am strongly considering the 750 but a bit wary now that I have heard Kawasaki will be building a 750 to compete against the Suzuki. I might either wait or just purchase the darn Gixxer.
Eventually Clint and I talked about Smallville. Not having seen the show, Clint wants me to give the show a shot. I don't want anything to do with the show.
Time drew near noon, which Clint had to go to class. My arse went to Best Buy and Borders to find CDs of interest. Made purchases of Rachael Yamagata's album and Jem's album Finally Woken. Two very wonderful albums I am estatic about owning. After making purchases from both store I then made pace to BC Surf and Sport to purchase new bearings for my board.
Around 12:30 I finally make way to Alan's abode. Alan hooks me up with a bratwurst to eat. Take note that I didn't eat breakfast nor lunch by the time I took a bite out of the brat. It was great. We got to watching Faster. The documentary is so good. It really gives a feel of life on the MotoGP paddock. Makes me want a bike even more and go out on track day events.
Forgot to mention that I made reservations with Shane to eat at Biaggi's. For those who don't know where I work, Biaggi's is where this cat takes occupation at. Alan and I meet up with Shane, his father, and father's wife. It was great to see them again. The time we had there was so enthralling, I wouldn't mind doing it again just for the sake of being together.
Yesterday was a good day.
