Listening to music eyes closed
It's been a long hard day. I've worked another double and my body feels briddle. The amount of work has been immense but it's all over. Currently sitting and chatting with long time friend Wayne.
Ever since the summer started he's been in Alaska working. Things seem to be going his way. Wayne has plans on saving money to move to NY and start a music career. Got to respect the guy to leave college and go in search for his ultimate dreams. Going to college for the reasons can do that to a person. I will get back to Wayne in a bit.
The past month I have been searching for music that is unknown by the general public but also something I can feel. There was this one song that was killing me. I would hear it on independent music stations but the Djs would never say what the song title is nor who performed it. I've must have heard it almost every week since I first noticed the song two weeks ago. Today the song comes on while I work the second part of my double. Hearing is brought a smile. The funny thing is that not too long ago I found out who this mystery person is. After coming home from work I took a shower then hit up MTV2, which I don't do regularly. Saw a music video of this one girl who had an interesting name. As the song was nearing its end the closing credits came on and the album title sounds almost like the song that's been eating at me. I go to Amazon.com to see the album tracks, in which there is a song that is titled after the album name. Sampled the song- low and behold it was what I've been looking for this whole time.
Wayne is a huge music-fiend like I. He just loves it. Use to play gigs at local events and parties. The cat must have over 1000 vinyls in his collection he started three years ago. Things seem to be going his way. This is our conversation on AIM:

Ravin Namja 17: i'm way stoked... this guy is really kewl too. one of the only ones i feel comfortable talkin with around here
It's been a while since I was happy for Wayne. I've said bad things about the guy. I can't blame myself because it seemed like nothing was working out for him and as if he wasn't trying. It seems like Alaska has changed him a bit.
Ever since I started typing this entry to now I've been listening to Rachael Yamagata. Man, this is some really good stuff. I am feeling it. Sample her songs from her site.
I will post another update soon. I have many ideas on my mind that I want to expell onto you.
