THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - ANXIETY
ANXIETY - A state of uneasiness and apprehension, as about future uncertainties
APPLY IT TO MYSELF: With an almost predictable certainty, anxiety rears its ugly head again. More often then not these days, I can see it coming. I know how I'm going to react when a time frame comes into view, or when I know that I'm going to have to deal with certaing people or events. It's almost like having an allergic reaction. The really neet part about having this kind of perspective is that I know how to deal with it when it happens and this is only accomplished through practice, and evaluation of how past events have affected me. So, when I'm fealing anxious or the anxiety, I know that it is completely normal and I don't have to freak out about it or let it affect me in negative ways.
What were you anxious about today? Is there a pattern there? How can you react sanely and rationally so that you don't lose your bearing next time?
