Hey. I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted. I don't really have a good excuse.
Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes last month. I really appreciated it.
I really enjoyed my time back in Jersey. It was great to see my mother again. I was supposed to hang out with three of my friends, and two of them flaked out on me, but it's cool.
The major highlights of my visit was drinking, shopping, and my b-day. My grandmother bought me a bunch of new clothes. I will never be able to thank her enough for that. And on my birthday a whole group of us went out for sushi. It was awesome. My mother tried raw sushi for the first time and she actually liked it.
I don't drink, but I decided to make an exception for the week I was home. And I drank...... a lot. It was fun.
Now here comes the fucked up part. The day after my birthday, I found out that a very good friend of mine from my Navy days committed suicide. Weeks later I am still in shock. I have been left in the wake of untimely deaths, but never a suicide. It seems so unreal... and everyone is wondering why. So please, for me, call your peeps and tell them you love them.
Ok, one more piece of bad news, and then I am done. A few days ago my grandmother fell and broke her hip. I think she got out of surgery yesterday or the day before. Not to be a bitchy pessimist, but it always seems that falls and broken hips are the beginning of the end.
ENOUGH of that.
What have I been doing? Studying and playing video games. Ad nauseum. That's it. Nothing to tell. How disappointing. Maybe I should make up something cool next time.
Well, I am going to go and catch up with all of you. I promise I will blog again soon.
EDIT: I just read DeCota's blog... apparently she went to Medieval Times for her man's birthday, and that reminded me that while I was in Jersey I ALSO went to Medieval Times!!!THAT was FUCKING amazing. I saw tricks I never knew horses could do. Awesome! Medieval Times should be located everywhere instead of just a few states in the country.
