I hope everyone is enjoying your weekend so far. Despite my household problems, I am feeling very productive.
Remember when we all lived without the internet?? What did we do then? These days, I feel that if the internet went out I would have a nervous breakdown. Some weeks ago Charter went out for about 3 hours, and I didn't know what to do with myself. My life is all about Netflix and SG. But you must remember that I don't have a job or my own vehicle, so that's A LOT of time to kill at home.
I really want to be a librarian, but I am afraid to go to school for that because I feel that the degree will be useless with the technology we have now. I am brainstorming about what I really want to do with my GI Bill.
Here are some ideas:
Mortician
Writing
Librarian
Social Worker
Back to feeling productive. I need to drop everything and take advantage of the feelings while they're here. Especially when it comes to writing. I am very upbeat today, which is rare. If I can feel this way everyday, life would be great, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way, but I am hopeful.
I see my social worker on Monday and my psychiatrist on Wednesday. Looking forward to both. I really like both of them. In the past, I have found myself intimidated by health care providers, but I don't feel that way with these people.
I need a little advice. Ever since I got my septum piercing, I have been picking my nose obsessively. It's kinda gross, plus I will do it until my nose bleeds. I know this might be TMI, but hey. Any suggestions?
Once again, have you looked at the Member Review Queue? This summer is going to be an overload of hotness!!!
Talk to you later.

I've been a librarian for about five years and I love it. The recession has made things tougher, with budget cuts and such, but people still like books (real physical books) despite the new technologies and I think that libraries are going to be around for a long time. For people like me (who read a lot), life without libraries is an expensive proposition
Libraries aren't totally free, but they're a lot cheaper than buying every book you read. They also have databases and provide research help, of course, but I think a great book selection is the core of any library... I'd be glad to help (answer questions and such) if you decide to go that way.
