Alright, so the certain girl and I actually did go out last night. And despite it all, damn it to hell, I had a good time. I hate admitting it, but I did--I had a very fucking good time. Damn it!
We went out for some sushi at a very nice japanese place and gorged ourselves on rolls while taking turns with sake "shots". The two chefs must've thought we were some romantic couple celebrating V-Day a lil early too, 'cuz they kept putting hearts all over everything we were eating with the sauces they used--as well as giving us some free stuff to boot. Yeah, so asian chef Gilbert and his cohort earned a hefty tip--talk about wingmen. After dinner, in the parking lot, I gave her a rose I'd bought before I picked her up. Her face lit up and I practically got knocked over with a hug, so yeah...I sound like I'm a Jr. High kid. Anyway, we went to a local brewery afterwards and had some drinks and continued the conversation and what-not--that was only briefly interupted when two good friends of mine happened to show up by chance. But they know how to take a hint
So skipping through this, the night ended with some holding and a few small kisses here and there and on an all-around good note.
It was a fun night out. Again, I really hate admitting that.
I don't realistically anticipate anything serious happening between us or anything...in fact, I can say the chances are pretty much nill. Mainly just because we're both too damn wishy-washy...which is a nice way to say she has a lotta issues and I have trouble trusting anybody with my emotions.
So, just as before (yes, we have a bit of a past...), we shared a lotta smiles, can always make the other laugh, find comfort being together, and really just seem fit together well--but there's just too many "buts".
Ce'st La Vie, eh?
