ahh, my head is killin me. at work, my supervisor's been pressurin me to go to the business center and pick up my badge. i actually got approved last week, but had to wait til tuesday b/c of the fucking 4th. on the 5th, i was under the impression that the security video began at 3:30, so i get there at 3:20. BUZZ!! Wrong!! the last showing began at 3:00. so on the 6th i get stuck in a god-damned traffic jam and i miss the beginning of the video by 3 minutes. 3 fucking minutes? is that initial 3 minute segment that crucial so that missing it would nullify watching the rest of the damned thing? so today i make it there on time, watch the video and get my badge. hoo-fuckin-ray... on the way home? i start to hear a *clunk*ing sound. i pull into a gas station to check the undercarriage (i thought i was dragging something). nothing. i get back on the road, the clunking continues and now, i start to notice a vibration in the brake pedal. well, i've had this problem before. vibraition only in the brake pedal, a clunking sound coming from the rear of the vehicle only while in motion? something fucked up is happening with my drum brakes. i get home (30 miles later, i wasn't paying to have that shit towed to my house) pull both wheels off and sure enough when i pull the passenger side off, half the springs and the self-adjusting pin just fall to the ground. and, since i was driving with them for who-knows-how-long, theyre all worn down and definitely need replacing. i took it in b/c its still under warranty, but i know how much it would cost to do it myself and if theyre not going to cover it under warranty, i'll just do it myself. i haven't had this car for a year. i thought they were supposed to check for shit like this before they sell it. and remember i said i had had this problem before? it was on the same model truck, only a different year. what is with ford not being able to put quality parts into their vehicles? jesus, if i bought a new ford, i'd change half the shit in it the first night i got it home. piece of shit. damn, i'm glad i got that out.
