Leaving for Belgium in a week or so. My account will probably close again while I am away. but i will be back. I hope to be able to leave a message from time to time while I am away.

I won't be here much so those who are emailing please continue to email. I won't be doing my usual journal cruising.

We say things here that we would not normally say
like why it hurts.
we exchange tales from the combat zone
we live in dynamited houses.
Jaded eyes glance over written poems
nothing actually sticks
my bravado often breaks like a shoelace
in this life.
Abuse, attempted suicide, drugs
craziness.
these are all common stories
This is pen to pen combat
hurt me, I will hurt you worse
you hurt, but i hurt more then you do.

I give you permission to gather your pain
into a language
write for your own sake
save yourself
write for those who are silenced
Write what makes you afraid to write
tell me your stories.
