I'm really trying to make the most of my next shoot. It's Firefly-themed, for all of you other Joss Wheton addicts. I've got too many ideas though. It's all going to boil down to the location I am able to get, and I have to rely on my mom to actually do the looking for me. God I hope it's sunny and warm out when I shoot. Serenity fans, and moreover my beloved friends, I am going to need some serious positive thinking coming my way when I fly out on October 3rd.
For one thing, I am scared of flying. I get sick a lot. And I've got anxiety issues.
Also, with the shoot, I need to have good weather to do it outdoors, especially this late in the year.
I'll need a lot of strength to make it through the first 4 days, with my husband's aweful family. After that, we'll be around MY kind, so I'll be fine. It's "them" I'm worried about. Plus flying with 3 toddlers is going to be just lovely. As much as I want to go, I really DON'T want to go, you know what I mean?
Anyways, I've got Stuff to do... and a documentary on TV that I really want to see.

Yeah, all of the locations I am looking at are out of town. Northern Nevada, not near Vegas at all. But the landscape looks the same. Plenty of dust, dirt, tumbleweeds, cracked earth and exotic stone. Cactus is kinda rare out north, but there's a lot to look at. I might even do a Dune set near Sand Mountain sometime in the future.
