I finally picked up the "return to Labrynth" manga book yesterday. Well, at least Volume 1. Two will be out around August, and they're unsure if there is really a #3. (some sites say yes, others no)
I also picked up a Dita Von Teese book. I've been her biggest fan for a dozen years, and hoped to get pin-up tips from her. But now SG seems to be Anti-theme, Anti-fetish and Anti-creativity. They just want young naked girls in bedrooms it seems like. I'm pissed, because I finally get around to modeling for them (It's been a dream/life-goal since I first discovered them over 6 years ago) and they've gone all "girls-gone-wild" on me!
Well, hopefully it's just a phase, and they'll see how much more fun people have seeing the weird/obscure/creative stuff. Hopefully the latest trend report is just a load of crap, and they'll dismiss it quickly. I mean, if I want to do a set where I'm wearing a hat, or want to put on a mini-skirt and wear pig-tails... why not!? Especially if my pics are good quality and show MY personality. After all. I can "play innocent" rather well.
I dunno. I'm upset because I can't find a gorram location to shoot, and the only places I had available were yanked out from under me with that report. And they don't want heavy themes, but I want to play with it alot. I want to dress up and play with hair and makeup, and now they've pretty much said, don't be "unconventional" with your hair! I mean, half of being an ALTERNATIVE pin-up site is that you're DIFFERENT from everyone else, right?
