screen printing art needs to be given to me in black & white - marker or print out, no painting or pencil. if you had a multi colored design, each color should be on its own page in black. the color is added when i print the shirts. you can create a design in photoshop or what ever on a computer with all the colors and stuff, i just need to be able to color seperate the design - thats why i ask for the design to be broken down into pages, 1 page for each color. then each page is printed out on transparency paper, that paper is then brought to the exposure table where i put the print on a screen. then it gets exposed. i wash it out with water after and then i set up the screen to be printed. so each color is one screen i have to expose. so if it was a 3 color design, i would have 3 screens that i would have to line up on the printing press, then the ink colors are added to each screen, then i print them on a shirt. - i do not print only one shirt, i have to print at least 12 (if its a 1 color design) or more than 12 if its over 1 color. the process takes awhile so i can't do all that work and then just do 1 shirt. that's what transfers are for. - transfers are the stuff you print out in full color then just heat press the paper onto a shirt. the process is quick with no set up time, but its just paper on a shirt. screen printing is embedded into the shirt, and will stay there for the life of the shirt. it won't peel off like transfer paper does.
