got home not so long ago (well about an hour and a half ago) from seeing ani difranco at the celebrity theatre. awesome good show to say the least. sandy got rockin' seats... although i could have done with a little less of the bassist's butt. (haha). i never really got into ani difranco, and i was basically just going so sandy didn't have to go alone, but it ended up being a really awesome show, and i think i'm gonna check out some of her stuff. it was lesbians galore at the venue... and then the few odd dudes tagging along with their girlfriends. quite amusing really.
anywho. i saw napoleon dynamite the other day. for the second time. it's a really funny flick. i'm still recommending it. although i did happen to miss one of my favourite parts when i went to the pee pee room this last time, so i might just have to go again. (plus sandy STILL hasn't seen it).
i had my "interview" for the new position at work today. it basically comes down to the fact that two very qualified people applied (one being me), and there are two positions available... not the same position though... and one isn't open until september. i get the weekend to decide which one i'd prefer/suit to best and then talk to my boss about it on monday. i went the whole time (this far) not asking about salary because i figured it shouldn't be as important as i'm making it. i basically need enough to pay my bills and have a little extra for my free time (which involves photography, a very EXPENSIVE hobby). my boss gave me a quote today on what the salary COULD be. i wasn't totally disappointed, but i also wasn't ecstatic. BUT there's a catch... the position might end up being hourly, but it MIGHT be salaried. and jen pretty much said that if it's salary, i might have to work a lot of overtime during the rough times at work. no fun, but i'd learn to deal with it. i think i've already decided which position would work best for me (and my skills)... but i think the other person that applied is going to say the same thing. eugh. anyways, enough work talk. basically talking, things are looking up a little.
i've decided to stick my "michael moore for president" sticker on my car. haha. just to get a rise out of people. because we all know how much i love to do that.
sandy and i are gonna start looking for an apartment (AGAIN) sometime soon. hopefully maybe this weekend. i think buying a house probably isn't the best idea for me RIGHT NOW because i'm not sure where i want to be in 5 years, let alone 10 or 15. so i think renting an apartment or a house will be better. and i'm really not bothered which it is. there are some nice apartments not so far away that erynne lives in that i think we might check out. yup yup yup.
i bought a bouncing souls dvd last night. saw it at zia records right after work and it looked pretty nifty. i haven't started watching it yet though. it has a 50-song set from different live shows that you can play. NEAT! i saw the aquabats dvd there too, which i was REALLY tempted to buy also... but then i saw that bouncing souls one and i changed my mind. and right now i'm too broke to buy both. hahaha.
tomorrow = work, taking my sister shopping for her (late) b-day, doing misc crap, and getting together with alicia to sort out her suicidegirls set and talk about possible ideas for future shoots. weeeeeeeeeeeee. alicia is the coolest.
sunday = go to ace tattoo and talk to todd about future stuff (possibly... if i can narrow down what i really want him to do), and then ummmmmmmm sleep some. i dunno. hahaha.
well that's a long boring entry from me. goodnight.
xoxox
p.s. certain things were really getting me down today. vagueness, how i love thee. but yeah, i guess everything happens for a reason... that's what i tell everyone else. maybe i should start taking my own advice for a change... maybe half the things that REALLY bother me wouldn't. and only those things that truly matter. hahha. fat chance.
