the best new japanese restaurant has opened up in my area. too bad i won't be here for much longer but more on that later. i picked up take away last week on my way to wezil's house to help with her tafe work. mixed tempura mmmm. it was so good i've decided to dedicate my summer to asian cuisine. maybe i'll take a class. a further too bad my boyfriend isn't into "exotic" food or "strong" flavours. that may present a problem..
I quit my job!!! [insert: past blogs about this very issue].
HA.
I say quit.... but really it was more of a graceful resignation. And i'm staying on unil they have found someone that i can train as replacement. I'm not a super cunt and this time of year gets pretty hectic in the family law department (no prizes there).
But yes, it is done. The time has come. I am taking a sea-change and moving in with my boyfriend in Mandurah (hence the potentially problematic clash of the taste-buds [insert: footage or pictures of taste buds at war which i am unable to locate]). Although I lived there myself once upon a time it is still a shock that I find myself moving back. It was the obvious choice though, I've been restless in my job for a while and Beau's just about to start an apprenticeship and isn't really in a position to make such change.
Also, having started seeing each other in September last year (yes that's right to all you people who answered that I should not tell him i had feelings for him way back when - relationship on ) we find that we are now both absolutely exhausted given that we work full time, spend the majority of our evenings and weekends together and live about an hour and 20mins away from each other. So that's that. And now the cheek piercings for which i have longed. maybe.
I still have to tell my parents about the move. We had dinner with them on Friday night with the intention of announciating but my dad was in a really grumpy mood, evident in part from his dinner protest where he decided to untin all sorts of unusual ingrediants to put on the pizza.. corn and such. it wasn't pretty. although i'm not sure exactly what his problem was i decided not to bother with to it. Mind you, I still have to tell them about my chest piece; thanks to high-necked band shirts my bodyart is still under wraps.
so that is that. I have again taken up the reigns of my life and decided to take action and make change [not babies]. i must admit this is the first job I've had since I finished school (other than a temporary three month job at a book store) and it's a bit sad to end on a good note. I happened to make friend with a girl who is 2 IC at dangerfield and she threw out the offer of part time work in conversation but at the moment it's a bit hard to think ahead to future work when I don't know when I'll be finishing here! Oo and any bright persons looking for full-time legal secretary work in Midland east of Perth let me know!
