Would you believe me if I told you that this is my last night in this bedroom and that tomorrow at 8 o'clock in the morning I will be moving out? Ha ha. What can I say - I'm a last minute kind of person.
I found the boy. Well I didn't find him. More like I admitted to myself that the boy I wanted is the boy I already have. And now we're together. And he plays drums. Brutal drums with blast beats and breakdowns. And he calls me dude. And he rolls me cigarettes to smoke in the shower and he packs me bongs. And he ties me up. And he looks perfect next to me. And i look perfect next to him. And he gives me compliments any time and a metal compilation dvd for my birthday. And he isn't grossed out when I wear his clothes three days in a row. He makes me smile. And isn't too cool to let me smoke weed with his (house)mates. And he always always always knows when it's margarita time without me having to say a word. Ahhhh bliss.
No that's not the boy. That's Liam. And Claire. I saw Placebo with them on Tuesday! It was good, they were good and they played good songs but I walked away feeling oddly unsatisfied all the same. You know the satisfaction you get from going to watch your favourite metal band. You mosh and sing and head bang your heart out. And at the end of the show you sort of float out through the crowd on legs that feel like jelly with ears that will ring for the next three hours and a neck that can't be bent for a week.. and it's the most satisfying contentful bliss. You feel whole and regenerated and new. Well that's what was missing from Placebo (not that I was expecting that) so when it finished I was left with this feeling that something was missing. Add that to the fact that they only played for an hour and a half, including a five minute fake end of show walk off stage interval at the one hour mark and that i paid $95 for this and yeah it probably wasn't the best show I've ever been to. I should've just paid an extra $60 to see them at soundwave.
But ya get that.
Anyways, as you can see I have a relative amount of packing and cleaning to be getting on with for the remainder of my dull and dutiful friday night. I don't have the net at my new house but Dome has free wireless so I'll be signing in once a week during my Sunday morning breakfasts.
Potentially getting my first tattoo tomorrow as well but we won't say too much about that just yet as the plans aren't concrete and I hate letdowns.
Stay safe everyone, enjoy your weekend, hope to see talk to you all soon and please think of me at 8am tomorrow when you're cosy in your beds nursing hangovers or something to that affect. Mind you, it's not like i'm doing too much. Just giving orders and directions to two silly silly male friends who were silly silly enough to agree to help me.
