I got a taxi home from Perth last night. And as we're driving down my street the taxi hits a kangaroo! (I live a stones throw (always wanted to use that terminology) from the national park)
It scared the shit out of the driver haha who then spent the next ten minutes muttering about the damage to his car and how sad it is and that this is the last thing he needs. I tried to be a good passenger and returned his muttering with what i thought would be consoling words about how it wasn't his fault and somtimes they just come out of nowhere. Only to have the driver turn around and try to blame me because I should have warned him. I DIDN'T SEE THE KANGAROO AND I DIDN"T KNOW IT WAS JUST GUNNA JUMP OUT. AND there is a sign on the side of the road with a picture of a kangaroo serving as a warning to motorists to drive slower and be observant.
And then further down the road we pulled into my drive way and I went to pay but both my cards got declined. Naturally i had 5$ on me. I was trying to explain to him that I did have money on both of my cards and that it was probably a lack of reception that made his wireless eftpos not work. However i'm not sure if he heard me over his continued mutterings of "it's not fair. I come all this way (all the way to my house or all the way to Australia i still wonder?). my car is broken. you broke my car. all for nothing. it is not fair. you cannot do this". So we went to an atm so that i could get money out which i did because i had money on my cards. and then he charged me extra for the fair to the atm and back to my house. IT"S NOT MY FAULT HIS MACHINE WASN"T WORKING. Grrr.
Earlier that day my friends car broke down between bullcreek and canning bridge on the way to Scabs beach (i bet that sounds very appealing to anyone who isn't up with the local nickname) from Mandurah while on the way to meet up with other members for a beach party. So all in all it made for one hell of a weekend. (Did I mention public transporting it back to Mandurah to get battery charger, back to car and then discovering the that big fuck off amp he has in his car not only drained the battery but actually killed it).
The highlight of my weekend (and it did take some time to pick given the multitude of positives i had to sort through) was going to the cass on friday night. Not thrilled about the money i lost but i picked up quite the cute guitar player XD with friends that took the piss out of a me, a cute smile, a little thing for slapping and long long hair![wink](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/wink.6a5555b139e7.gif)

Cheers for the heads up for the concert, I may just have to check it out! I don't go to amps often enough, my mates band played their about a month ago and I didn't even freaking go because I had no money even for a taxi.. fuckin' costs me over $50 for a taxi from my place to the city.
Sounds like you had a good weekend though, luckily so far I've had mostly cool taxi drivers, on the way back from town one night at about 3AM, no shit he took out his baseball bat that he keeps under his seat in case someone gives him trouble and gave it to me to go letterbox smashing outside his taxi window!! I was in a pretty bad state so I jumped for the chance, but goddam it was funny.
