Do you ever worry about losing your sense of where you came from?

I have gotten old enough that I have begun to grow hazy on some of my earliest memories. I know that my memories are still there, but just not always as accessible as they once were. It is not that I have forgotten anything, but rather that I have so many more...

I used to live in Santa Cruz, but now I live in Humboldt. I have family in Bonny Doon and would love to go hiking with you the next time I am in Santa Cruz biggrin

Awesome, Skogsra! You're on!! (I know all the good food places too!)

I am now for the first time, and hopefully the last, putting myself on a diet. I have never been particularly overweight, but it is not just about losing weight or looking good...I have taken to eating such crap for years now. As a railroad conductor and a musician, my schedule is always weird. This means I eat whatever I can find whenever I can...

Nothing so simple, but I did cut out 90% of the processed sugar from my diet a couple years ago. Along with exercising, I dropped about 50 lbs. It's amazing what that crap does to you without even knowing it... It's in EVERYTHING...
xsntt:
It really is in EVERYTHING!!! The only answer is to just eat ONLY what you cook yourself. I can control my beans and rice not having anything in them but beans and rice, but when it comes to anything prepackaged, you better believe it will NEVER be just beans and rice...

I've been playing hooky from work. I just can't stand to go back!! Fortunately I know all the tricks, so it has been awhile. I certainly won't make any money this half of the month!!! At my job I can "bump" onto different job schedules, so I keep getting on ones on their days off...

It is too beautiful a summer to not live in...

Feeling good today and loving summer weather. I think the other day the unreasonably overcast skies we had been having for the first week of summer were really getting me down. I realized that I really need heat and sun for my summers. I am a warm weather guy, though I am ironically very pale and nature clearly prepared my body type for a much...

Summer. How I miss thee !
Enjoy.

xsntt:
Ooooh, lovely velvet faerie, please sail me back to you in the land of Oz!!! I love Australia!!! I imagine it must be VERY different weather for you now. I miss Australia. I left there a few years ago, but I want to return for good!! I would take your culture over mine, even though my family has been on this continent about 400 years!

Beautiful Whiskey, I know that weather pattern too! I did archaeology in Britain for the 2000-2001 season and had to be out in it until my fingers froze (not joking) and I finally gave up. THAT was a helluvah winter that year. All the flooding...TOO much rain for me. My poor California sensibilities were shattered!!! It took years to recover!! Now whenever it rains I remind myself I was in London when it didn't stop raining for even a second in whole months. At least your country has intellectuals and it respects them!!

Today I feel ugly...It happens to guys too occasionally, it is not just a girl thing. I just looked at a bunch of photos of myself as I transferred them to my external hard drive, and I realized that I haven't taken any really good photos of myself for the better part of a year!! It is depressing. Maybe some of you insanely hot girls...

Alright, I am BACK!!!

I didn't feel right without a creative sexual outlet in my life. What makes this site NOT Facebook (corporate sell-out pigs that they are) is that we can be OURSELVES here. We can be proud of what makes us real people here, and ALL of what makes us who we are. I am not shy about my body or my sexuality,...

I wrote a song for every key
It isn't you, it isn't me
One size fits all, but it's never snug
-A giant Mu'umu'u like a rug
We sit together uncomfortably
In a home-spun prison of mediocrity
Until a primal force erupts from inside
Instinct for independence cannot be denied
A voice cries out, breaking into melody
In a cadence and rhythm rudimentary
Yet novel...

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S, EVERYBODY!!!

I am sick and I had to work all night on the railroad (seriously, I am a conductor for the largest railroad company in America) and now I feel like crap. It is cold and damp and all I want to do is stay in bed. Why the HELL did everyone move the New Year's Eve holiday to Sunday and New...

Happy new year! Assessing your priorities is always a good move, best of luck smile
xsntt:
Thanks, Fringe and Trills!! I am seriously enjoying 2012 so far and I feel much better from my cold and everything else. Things seem to really have improved. This will certainly be a year for assessing my priorities, Trills, you are absolutely right. I am busier than I have ever been before, but I have more to gain than ever before at the same time!!

Let's hope I can finally get myself to all that I need to get done this year and make it the best year of my life!!! I think it really could be!! I am hoping to buy a house this year, take time off and go to Hawaii and Australia, and also get my father's house cleaned out and rented!! There is so much to think about, but I think it might really be a great year if I can do it all!!!

Recurrent symbols appear throughout the SG sets. I wondered if any of you might comment on why these specific symbols seem more associated with Suicide Girls that with society at large:

Anchor
Octopus
Calculator Watch
Stars (Particularly Nor-Cal and Traditional Sailor Stars)
Birds -Particularly Owls

I am trying to think of more. What have you noticed trends of and what do you think these things...

Aw, i just read your comments on my set 'Comme ci, Comme a', thank you so much. It's one of the most beautiful comment i ever read, it made me lost my words.
marlene:
Thanks for the add, it's a real pleasure.
About the civil union, actually it's not really different from the wedding. I don't read a lot of things about it because the civil union was a evidence for us. The main difference is for the adoption: you can't adopt a baby as a couple, you can adopt him alone only.

I am not sure if this is relevant to post here, but then I am never sure what IS relevant to post here...so here it goes: I hate Facebook and I am leaving. I actually get significantly more out of SG and blogging here, posting here, being part of groups here, etc, than Facebook. In addition, I tried to friend GoGo on Facebook, because her...
