ok so here comes a time where im going to actually blog instead of stupid like 2 sentence entries...
so im finally done school for the year and i feel great right now. things are really looking up for me. over the past few months i have met some amazing people and some even MORE than amazing people(you know who you are) that have made my life worth breathing for. people like you give me that extra push toward the goals and activities that i have an interest in...that extra push that sometimes everyone needs to get over the top of the hill. the people i am talking about me more to me than they will ever know...
on another note this summer is looking really good. my band's(PROGRESS-NEW SONGS UP!) cd got sent out to be pressed last week, someone is coming to visit me which i am really looking forward to, and im getting my sleeve finished!
lately besides the music part of my life i have been embracing the nerd inside...by saying that this may turn a few people away from talking to me but i have picked up playing magic the gathering again. ok ok i know what youre going to say, but it is addicting as shit!
ok so i think this is part where i suggest some stuff like i did another time right? ok cool.
movie - the day the earth stood still(2009)
what i think - from the previews and the older movie i was pretty stoked on this, however after having seeing this i have come to learn that having high expectations for movies have never worked for me...everytime i do im getting let down. the movie's storyline in my opinion has been every et encounter with a human being, that being stupidity. it always ends in the humans attacking the aliens who sometimes didn't come there for a conflict to begin with. now i know this isn't the concept for every movie but having reeves play the role of the alien looking at the planet made me want to shoot him myself....is this just neo as an alien? i think so? oh wait! every time (with the exception of constantine) when he plays an intimidating role he just act like neo....overall DONT WASTE YOU TIME WITH THIS MOVIE!
band - mono
what i think - this band is amazing, hands down. if you know anything about music and think otherwise then you obviously need to go back and learn something. this band is like a symphony for the average person. they can play as quiet as a whisper but as loud as bomb going off. its for fans of explosions in the sky, godspeed you black emperor, and pelican, except with a more classical feeling to it. songs to check out - halcyon, 16:12, burial at sea, sabbath.
book - invisible monsters by chuck p.
what i think - GO READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
