“What do you do for work?” is almost as common a question as “what’s your name?”. Both of those questions can be answered in so many different ways for me.
My name is Serena Remmington. Either of those names can be used as my stage name. Serena. Remmington (or Remmi for short). And to answer your question: no, it’s not my real name and no, I’m not going to tell you my real name either because it defeats the whole purpose of a stage name.
I am an exotic dancer in Arizona. Yes, a stripper. There are so many names for my job: independent contractor, entertainer, lap dance therapist, etc.
I am my own boss and I absolutely love my job! I make my own schedule and can work as much or little as I want. I get to dress up in my favorite lingerie and dance in 8 inch heels (which are actually comfier than heels I’d wear out normally). I am empowered being surrounded by beautiful like-minded women every night I work. I am constantly learning new things and meeting people from different places. There is so much to this job that I love, I could go on for hours typing into this blog post but I will save it for another time.
I started dancing a little over a year ago and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. I once heard “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life”, and I am so glad I found something I love.
