I got laid off in January and never got another job, despite several interviews. I was at the same company doing tech writing and marketing for 8 years, but apparently, they were so behind the times that I was left qualified for nothing in this competitive job market.

So I decided to try and make money in less traditional ways (i.e., working at a desk for the Man), by peddling kids' oil portraits, freelance magazine writing, making homemade bath products, etc.

However, I am a member of a 2-income household, or more accuately, one income and some occasional extra cash, so I have some leeway.

Are you boxing w/ your boss? Or is it someone else...
