So I had a pretty good weekend I could say. Friday was prety chill. Saturday I ate at a Mexican restaraunt with Jimbo and went to a wedding in the family. My family rules because we got these mariachis on speed dial.
Last night I went out to see The Red Chord, If Hope Dies, Kill The Client, My Son My Executioner and They Call Him Destroyer. If Hope Dies was outstanding; Shadows Fall was the band that came to mind, but more hardcore style. This show was kicking off My Son My Executioner's summer tour and the first show with their new singer Zach. I'll see them again tonight at 1919 Hemphill in Fort Worth before they actually leave, though.
Let me remind you about hardcore pits. Don't go into a pit doing some spaz-seizure bullshit or you'll be annihilated. This one little shit got a few brutal kicks from me, a massive spin kick from this one kid half-ass know, and my friend Brian gave him a giant dunk at the end.
Anyway, Caitlin went with me and it was okay. We didn't argue or anything, but it wasn't like we were starry-eyed lovers either. At least I got a kiss at end of night (even though her nose still hurts from getting her septum pierced). I still need to have a discussion with her, and I didn't get the chance to last night.
Edited to add: Randy just called me while I was typing to say that he just witnessed the gnarliest wreck on the freeway in Houston. It was like a car or two ahead of him and basically he almost died. It kinda makes me all gushy inside for my best friend that I'm the first person he'd call in a near-death situation. AWW! What a fag!

i'm not sure if they showed for the denver show, but i didn't go to that one because of work. tonight's show was ok (agnostic front, death before dishonor and full blown chaos-all of which are ok). but nobody showed up and all the hc kids were so on edge that any punk kid that set foot on the floor was getting pounded. when did it get this bad? fuck these kids. fuck hardcore. just a bunch of fucking retarded meatheads have seizures and calling it dancing.
i thought being tough went out with one life crew and integrity. nobody looked like they were having fun. fuck it. i'm bringing a bat next time, i'll be the only one left standing.
