So, the date--if you want to call it that--went pretty well. Caitlin and I just walked around, talked and saw all the exhibits. The only thing wrong was that the koala and kangaroo exhibit was gone! I wanted to see some cute little fuzzy koalas--then get mauled by one 'cause those things are mean as shit in reality. 
Oh well, good times and it was a beautiful day.
My aunt's birthday party was a blast. It was all done at this nice hall with an awesome caterer and, in true Renteria family fashion, got some of the best mariachis Fort Worth has to offer.
Even through all my hardcore and metal music I listen to, I still love mariachi music.
After it was winding down, I headed out. I got a call from Caitlin saying she wasn't doing anything so I went over to her house and we watched Requiem For A Dream. Before you know it, we're falling asleep on the couch together, and I just got home to post this journal entry. I still need to take a shower and do my Sunday cleaning (a habit I've inherited from my mom).
Edited to add: Could it be more awesome that I now have the opening riff to "Laid To Rest" by Lamb of God as my ringtone?
